Teen under fire for wearing Chinese dress to prom defends decision: 'I was in no way making fun of the culture'

18-year-old Keziah Ginger Daum wanted a unique prom dress, so she visited a vintage shop in downtown Salt Lake City. In the week since Daum posted her prom photos on Twitter, her outfit has come to symbolize a debate over cultural appropriation. “My culture is not your prom dress,” Jeremy Lam responded on Twitter.
