Chip and Joanna Gaines‘s new restaurant Magnolia Table opened this week, and on Tuesday, the behind-the-scenes process from conception to construction to finished product was revealed on the penultimate episode of Fixer Upper. Obviously, the space is classic Chip and Jo. The couple took the oldest restaurant in Waco, Texas, the Elite Cafe, and gave it a modern farmhouse upgrade complete with vaulted ceilings, exposed and restored shiplap, witty metal signs, custom subway tile, extra-long wood tables (designed by Clint Harp, of course), and other design and construction elements the Gaines’s have become famous for.
