A young couple had plans to tie the knot in Mexico City this week, but their world was shattered by the devastating 7.1 magnitude earthquake that rocked the nation. Jorge Daniel Huitzil and Erika Castillo Aparicio tried to reschedule their a civil ceremony, which would have been followed by a church service, but they learned they would lose their slot at city hall — and the 1,019 pesos (about $60) they had paid to reserve it, the New York Post reports.
