'Healing bracelet' gives baby lead poisoning, says CDC

Teething bracelet contained high levels of lead. After a routine health screening last September, a nine-month-old baby in Connecticut had dangerously high levels of lead in her blood after chewing on a homeopathic “healing bracelet,” according to report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. After first testing looking at paint in the family home, public health authorities concluded it was not the culprit as the other children in the home did not have lead poisoning.
