CARIBBEAN UNIVERSITIES

Caribbean is one of the best places to study medicine. With so many medical schools listed in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED), the Caribbean has increasingly become the preferred destination for students seeking alternatives to their domestic medical schools.
Studying medicine in Caribbean has become attractive for international medical students. The admission process and criteria more favorable, reasonable tuition fees, English programs, tropical environment, and clinical rotation outside of Caribbean are some of the advantage of studying medicine in Caribbean.
Clinical Training in USA/ Canada/ India
Caribbean medical universities are affiliated with numerous teaching hospitals (in USA, Canada, and India etc.); it gives students the opportunity to participate in clinical rotations throughout the United States. Therefore, Caribbean students have the opportunities to practice in Caribbean and outside during their clinical studies, which give them more advantage in residency applications and when they become physicians in USA, Canada and India.

Resumption dates: January, June & September every year.
Tuition Fee: $5,000/semester for Semesters 1-5
$6,500 – $8,000/semester for Semesters 6-12 
Admission Requirements -Completed Application Form-International Passport.-O’level result (WAEC or NECO)
-Official Secondary school transcript.
-Two official letters of recommendation
-Personal Statement (1,000 words)
-Two passport sized photos.
-Non Refundable application and admission processing fee- 60,000 Naira

Transfer applicants must submit:
-Official credential evaluation report of transcript through World Education Services (WES).


Visa Requirements - 4 passport size photograph- Clear Colour copy of Data page of International Passport with at least 6 months validity.-Filled visa application form
– Admission Letter
– Proof of payment of school fees (Receipts)
-Sponsorship Letter
-Sponsor’s Bank Statement (6 months)
-Medical Test Report, especially HIV status, PPD, Chest X-ray
-Recent Police Character Certificate
-Clear photocopy of O-Level Result, Secondary School Testimonial and Birth Certificate.
-Notarize all Valid document
-Flight Itinerary of expected travel time to St. Vincent
– Visa processing fee-130,000 Naira

NB: Please note that they don’t have embassy in Nigeria, so all these documents will be sent to us. We will then send it through courier service for the visa issuance, which will take some weeks.

ADMISSION & VISA PROCESSING STEPS
STEP 1. Complete the application form, scan and send with copy of data page of International Passport and O-Level Result.
STEP 2. We review your application and notify you if you are eligible for admission within 24 hours. Other details about the university, Fees and process are sent to you.
STEP 3. If eligible, you submit all other required admission documents and make deposit payment for admission processing.
STEP 4. You receive admission letter within 3-4 weeks after payment and submission of all necessary documents.
STEP 5. After receiving the admission letter, you are required to make a deposit or full payment of first year tuition fee.
STEP 6. You submit all documents for visa processing and pay visa processing fee.
STEP 7. You undergo necessary medical check up for visa application.
STEP 8. For countries with embassy, we book a date for your Visa interview at the embassy. We also prepare you for the interview.
STEP 9. For countries without embassy, we arrange documents and passport to be sent to the appropriate authorities. After this, you wait for the completion of the Visa process.
STEP 10. After visa is received, you buy ticket and travel.
